Editing

We started to edit our thriller today. We have decided that all the titles in the film will be on a black background in between some of the cuts in the film. We are using a range of straight cuts and fades.

Filming

Today we grabbed our camera for the first time to film our thriller. Going into filming we really wanted to make the most out of shadows and how suspense could be built from them however when we got to the film site we realised that there wasnt enough room or light to get good clear shadows however we figured out how we could try and get a similar affect of suspense.

Ident

Ident

Today we have been making the ident for my production company. The ident will go at the front of the thriller just before the film starts. The ident is an image that belongs to your production company that lets viewers identify the company that has produced the film.
Our production company is called LJS productions after the three pupils in our group. When making our ident we wanted an iconic part of the film industry to be part of the ident. We thought that there was no other choice but to pick a film real and see what we could do to it to make it our own.
We used Photoshop and live-type to adjust the size of the film real so that we could make it as if it was almost rolling out. The ident is made to look slightly jumpy to show that we are not perfect, still learning, and are new to making films.
We are still editing the final bits of the ident and it will be up in a few days as soon as we have finished it.
